About the Photographer
A passion for art has informed Stuart’s life. Coming to photography from an artist background, she sees things from that vantage point, with an artist’s eye. Stuart strives for a “dreamlike, ethereal lyricism, filtering images into evocative glimpses of a serene and gentle world, a more beautiful and less hurried time.”
Stewart sees beauty in everyday objects and the world in small fragments. She is drawn to scenes where there are many layers, where you do not see everything all at once. Stewart loves the polaroid transfer process because it heightens this experience of many layers and you have to look closely to discover something new.
