FDU’s Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Peter Knowles
Madison, N.J. (October 25, 2016) - During Homecoming Weekend on October 22, 2016, Fairleigh Dickinson University recognized Peter Knowles as Volunteer of the Year.
The award is presented by the FDU Alumni Association to an alumnus/alumna who has made significant contributions to one or more of the following areas at FDU: admissions, career development, academic progress, student life, chapters, fundraising for athletics.
Knowles graduated from FDU’s Florham Campus with a B.A. in 2007, where he was captain of the men’s lacrosse team. After graduation, he began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he served high net worth clients to create financial plans and strategies. In 2008 Knowles joined The Gibbons Group at Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor, where he later became partner in 2011. His primary functions include investment analysis, asset allocation and client relationship management.
Knowles is active in many organizations including the FDU Alumni Association, he is a board member of the Jillian E. Daly Foundation, and involved with the Bulls Men’s Lacrosse Club. He currently resides in Westchester, N.Y. with his wife who is a high school science teacher. During his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, fishing and golfing.
