‘Rome, Vienna and Beyond’ Performed by All Seasons Chamber Players

Teaneck (March 1, 2017) – The All Seasons Chamber Players, one of New Jersey’s most popular and active chamber music ensembles, will perform a special concert of chamber music at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Hall (150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, N.J.). The event is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Department and will also include a reception and art exhibit in the Edward Williams Gallery of work by Diana Soorikian entitled “Against the Grain – then and now.”

About the Program:

 The program, titled “Rome, Vienna and Beyond,” will feature works by seven composers from six countries. It will include a varied selection of pieces performed by cellist E. Zoe Hassman, the lively Trio for Flute, Violin and Piano by Nino Rota and the magnificent Trio in E Flat Major by Franz Schubert. Robert Lawrence, co-director for programs, will introduce each piece to the audience with informative spoken program notes.

Performers will include flutist Lisa Hansen of Leonia, violinist Bob Lawrence of New York City; cellist E. Zoe Hassman of New York City; and pianists Jean Strickholm of Demarest and Jacqueline Schiller-Audi of Paramus.

The All Seasons Chamber Players has performed more than 770 live concerts in the metropolitan area. In addition, thousands of people have heard the ensemble on local TV stations. Ensemble performers are professional musicians who also play with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals.

Winner of the Award for Artistic Excellence from the Bergen County of Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs, the ensemble has also received grants from several corporate and private sources.

Admission to the concert, reception and art exhibit is free and all are welcome. The audience is invited to come as early as 2 p.m. to enjoy the art exhibit and reception before the 3 p.m. concert.
