Torture Games

The first session of the Fall 2010 Politics on the Public Mind series was on Thursday, September 30. It featured John Schiemann, American political scientist and Associate Professor of Political Science at FDU. He led a discussion on “Torture Games: Or How Good Guys Get Bad Information with Ugly Methods.” Dr. Schiemann is the author of “The Politics of Pact-Making: Hungary’s Negotiated Transition to Democracy in Comparative Perspective, ” and co-author of  “On the (Ir)rationality of Torture,” a paper prepared for the 2008 Meetings of the New England Political Science Association.
