Professor Lisa A. Ryan, Lead Instructional Designer, ADP Small Business Services

Professor Ryan has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She has served in numerous capacities from Conference Manager at Dolce Hamilton Park to Director of Sales for several hotels including Radisson. Professor Ryan obtained the designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) administered by the Convention Industry Council.

Professor Ryan began her career with Cendant Corporation (now Wyndham Worldwide) as a Franchise Services Manager for Days Inns Worldwide, Inc. providing franchise support to over 160 Days Inns on the West Coast and thereafter was advanced to the position of Senior Trainer. In this capacity, her major responsibilities included delivering new Owner & General Manager orientations for the eight Cendant Hotel brands. This assignment included instructing participants in hotel operations including e-commerce, revenue management, customer service, sales and marketing, staffing, training, and fiscal management.

In 2006, Professor Ryan was promoted to Director, Educational Program Design & Development, for Wyndham Hotel Group. In this role, she was responsible for the creation and implementation of innovative educational offerings for internal (corporate) and external (franchisees) customers for world’s largest hotel franchisor with >7000 managed and franchised hotels worldwide.

Currently, Professor Ryan is responsible for incorporating organizational behavior theories, adult learning principles and training & development techniques to design and develop learning for ADP's internal associates and external clients.

Professor Ryan graduated cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ where she majored in English/Communications with a concentration in Mass Media. Professor Ryan also studied at Wroxton College, Oxfordshire, England. Ryan completed her graduate studies at FDU’s International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management in May 2006. She also holds the designations of Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) administered by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
