Julia Wagner

Professor Julia Wagner is Director of the Metro Writing Studio and lectures in Academic and Creative Writing. She received her M.F.A. in Poetry from The City University of New York, Brooklyn and her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Cincinnati. She writes literary analysis, poetry, book and music reviews, pedagogy and best teaching practice, and she also serves as a peer editor for  literary and educational journals. She has presented papers at the CCCC's, MLA, Common Ground, The New Jersey Writng Alliance, and One Voice in Elemental Ethics.  Before this,  she worked in publishing for Hachette Filipacchi Media, Bellerophone Publications Inc., and HBJ. Her interests include language and the study of language, literacy acquisition, and writing. She is a member of many organizations such as the The Modern Language Association, The Poetry Society of America, The International Literacy Association, and The International Writing Centers Association.
