Associate Vice President for University Communications
Angelo Carfagna is an award-winning writer, editor, communications consultant and international affairs and media studies scholar.
He has led and collaborated on various projects to promote and garner attention for the University's global mission. He is now responsible for internal and external communications efforts and also serves as executive editor of the University's flagship publication, FDU Magazine.
Along with former FDU President J. Michael Adams, he is the author of Coming of Age in A Globalized World: The Next Generation (2006). The book explores the impact of globalization and discusses the significance of global citizenship in a world with diminishing borders. It further highlights the role of education in a society that constantly faces change and conflict.
Angelo Carfagna earned his BA in English and journalism from Montclair State University and an MA in political science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Following reporting positions with weekly newspapers and The Record, he joined FDU in 1993.
His office is located in Dickinson Hall on the Metropolitan Campus.
