Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice


Dr. Julie Kalabalik joined the School of Pharmacy in November 2013. As an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, she plans, prepares, and teaches pharmacotherapy courses.

Dr. Kalabalik received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in New York in 2008. After completing her pharmacy degree, Dr. Kalabalik completed her first year post-graduate, ASHP-accredited residency training at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Thereafter, she completed her second year post-graduate, ASHP-accredited specialty residency training in Critical Care at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

After completing her training, Dr. Kalabalik joined Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in Piscataway, New Jersey, as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Kalabalik educated students and provided clinical pharmacy services as a critical care pharmacotherapy specialist at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey.

Dr. Kalabalik is a registered pharmacist in New Jersey and New York. She has been a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist since 2011.
