Undergraduate Degrees in Petrocelli College
Petrocelli College's new Associate of Science in General Science (ASGS) degree is a 60-credit associate's degree program that provides a rigorous education in science and creates a pathway for students to transfer into the University's bachelor's degree programs in the science and health fields. It is offered on the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, and on the Florham Campus in Madison.
Petrocelli College's Associate of Arts (AA) degree is a 60-credit associate's degree program designed for students to pursue a bachelor's degree in liberal arts, science, or business administration, among other fields. At the Florham Campus, the program allows students seeking a bachelor's degree to obtain intermediate certification. The AA degree is offered on both our Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck and the Florham Campus in Madison.
This major, offered through the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management on the Metropolitan Campus and Florham Campus, is designed to prepare students to assume managerial functions in service industries including organizations such as hotels, restaurants, resorts, entertainment complexes, casinos and assisted living facilities (more).
The International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management offers a 5-year B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management/M.S. in Hospitality Management program. This program is available to select students who want to pursue both degrees simultaneously and have fulfilled the following requirements.
The Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies degree is a baccalaureate degree program structured to meet the educational needs of adult learners. It provides non-traditional students with a variety of options in meeting University requirements for an undergraduate degree grounded in the liberal arts. It recognizes the value of life/work experience and affords students the opportunity to receive advanced standing through portfolio assessment (more).
As the world has become more complex and interconnected, as occupations and disciplines have become more finely divided into specializations, each with its own jargon, so has the need for people who can operate across borders, who can see the larger picture. Interdisciplinary studies (IDS) exist to satisfy that need for such people (more).
For this combined degree option, the BA degree is offered by Petrocelli College, and the MPA degree by the School of Public and Global Affairs. Students selecting the Bachelor of Arts/Master of Public Administration option are expected to meet the current M.P.A. admission requirements as set forth in the Graduate Studies Bulletin, with the exception that they are not required to have obtained their baccalaureate degrees (more).
