Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Summer Pre-College Program offers talented students in grades 10 to 12 the opportunity to get a jump-start on earning college credits while getting a taste of college life. Whether you attend for two or four weeks, you’ll develop valuable skills and learn cutting-edge techniques in these exciting college-level courses. Enjoy a dynamic academic setting while making friends and having fun. All classes are taught by FDU instructors at our Metro Campus in Teaneck and at our Florham Campus in Madison. Two two-week sessions this summer
Session 1 - July 8 to July 18, 2019
Session 2 - July 22 to August 1, 2019
Courses held Monday through Thursday.
Pursue your passion and focus on one or two courses of study in each two-week program on either of our campuses.
A sampling of our premium technology and design courses:
- Artificial Intelligence and Robotics 1: Sensing and Guidance Students will build a small robot and program it, using C/C++ to perform specific tasks. They will work with basic robotic components including motors, sensors, microcontrollers and guidance systems, and learn AI coding processes.
- Drone Technology: Mastering Flight Dynamics and Coding Students will learn how drones fly, using a small indoor drone, and program the drone using the drone's Software Developer Kit (SDK).
- Pre-Medical Professions and the Health Sciences This course introduces students to the basic concepts of medical science including Physiology, Anatomy and effective patient care.
- Wall Street Careers: An Introduction to Financial Markets and Trading Students will explore the structure and functioning of today's Global Financial markets. Through applied exercises and case studies, they will examine what a career in finance and trading entails.
