Camp Discovery Leader in Training
Leadership training, fun activities and trips for teens entering 8th and 9th grades.
Camp Discovery's Leader in Training Camp offers our older campers opportunities to have fun at camp and also have an introduction to leadership skills and topics.
- Recreational activities
- Workshops on leadership skills (team building, what makes a good leader, interviewing skills, and more!)
- Assist college-age counselors with campers to gain real life leadership experience. Create special projects and events for campers.
- Camp Finale week 6 - develop skits and public speaking skills.
- Extra LIT only trips - weeks 2, 4 and 5
This program is ideally suited for older campers who have an interest in working with children. Leadership, team building, and project management skills gained will assist LITs in school and in many career areas.
Location: Florham Campus - Madison, NJ and Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, NJ
Days/Times: Monday to Friday 9 AM to 4 PM; Extended Care hours available if needed

Counselor in Training Program
This program is open to previous Camp Discovery LIT campers who are entering 10th and 11th grades and wish to be a camp counselor in the future. CITs work along with counselors and will have additional training and recreational activities.
