Research Interests

Prof. Burkholder's research interests include medieval French aristocrats, medieval warfare, and history & film. He also frequently publishes and presents on history pedagogy. Burkholder was the Founding Chair of the Faculty Teaching Development Program at the Florham campus of Fairleigh Dickinson. He is on the Editorial Board of The Teaching Professor, is a member of the National Advisory Board for the Society for History Education, and serves as Consulting Editor for the journal College Teaching.
