Psychology and Counseling

Our Psychology and Counseling Department creates in its students an awareness and understanding of the complexity and intrigue that comprise human behavior and mental processes. We provide an education in these fields that covers the major concepts, theories, and ideas which explain, through human and animal research, how and why people function. Our graduate programs provide education and preparation for careers in counseling, industrial psychology and leadership. Our mission is to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and its practical application in their professional and personal lives.

The Journal of Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences (JPBS) is an annual periodical published by the Psychology and Counseling Department. JPBS offers undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, an opportunity to publish in a recognized academic journal.
