Constance Bygrave, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the BAIS and MAS programs, joined Fairleigh-Dickinson in 2012. She earned her BBA with an accounting concentration at Simon Fraser and her MBA and PhD in Management from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her research interests are employee motivation, love of the job, meaning of work, strategic alliances, ecofeminism, and spirituality in the workplace. Prior to academia, Constance spent over ten years in the corporate world as a marketing training specialist, a professional accountant, and a small business counselor. Her true passion is teaching and she has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in leadership, management, marketing, entrepreneurship and small business management, financial and management accounting, human resources management and training, organizational behavior, and introduction to business. Her all-round subject matter and work experience give her plenty of real-life examples in the classroom.

Ajay K Garg, Assistant Professor, holds a Ph. D. (Quality decision making, Operations Management and International Business), MBA (Operations and International Business Management), and B. Sc. (Mechanical Engineering, Hons.), and teaches Organizational Decision Making. He also teaches Operations and International Business and Administration at another university in Vancouver, and had been working as a Senior Professor in School of Business Studies, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, India and few more institutes of repute. He has more than 10 years of academic experience as a faculty as well as a successful administrator and is a management teacher accredited by All-India Management Association (AIMA). Additionally, he has about 14 years of industry experience in the area of international business and operations. He has completed various academic and industrial assignments in more than 22 countries. He has to his credit one text book on ‘Production and Operations Management’ and several research papers in the cross functional areas of quality, operations and finance published in various international journals of repute.
His book on 'Managing Quality in Handicraft Sector' was published in April 2012.
Prof. Garg has been a resource person on quality, stress and time management (in the fields of small scale, handicrafts and cottage industry, among others) with various government and private national and international organizations. He has been a member of the advisory committee on ‘Assessment of Waste and Pattern of Occupational Hazards in Plastic Industry’ set up by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
He has been an independent member in the Advisory Committee of SWISO, an ISO certifying company for auditing their system of granting ISO certification. He is also a member of the Planning Board and Executive Council in T.M.U. India.

Phyllis MacIntyre, Assistant Professor, holds B. Engineering in industrial engineering from Dalhousie University, an MBA from the University of British Columbia, and an EdD in curriculum development and instructional design from the University of Phoenix. Her research focus is leadership development and leadership education with current research in leadership development for women engineers, teaching and learning in higher education, and in executive coaching. She has taught over ten years in undergraduate and graduate business in areas of leadership, management, ethics, organizational behavior, and human resources management. Her academic pursuits draw upon extensive business practice in strategic planning, organizational development, change management, and human resource management. She is an executive coach from Royal Roads University, a professional engineer (P. Eng.), and a Canadian Human Resource Professional (CHRP).

Bahareh Assadi, Lecturer, joined Fairleigh-Dickinson University in 2012. Bahareh brings to FDU more than 17 years of experience in business and education management. She has worked for several public and private post-secondary institutions in Canada and the USA, to enrich and enhance the educational system at all levels. She is passionate about teaching and has taught courses in leadership, human resources management, personnel administration, business planning, human resources information systems, and collective bargaining and contract administration. Her teaching philosophy focuses on student empowerment and engagement.

JULIAN CONCEPCIONDr. Julian V. Concepcion, Lecturer, teaches Finance, Accounting, Organizational Behaviour and Engineering Economics in both the graduate and undergraduate degree programs. He brings into FDU more than 20 years of top-level corporate management experience in the property development and construction industries. His corporate background includes: President of the Moldex Group of Companies, First Vice-President of Filinvest Land and Sr. Manager of Avida Land which are top companies operating in the Philippines. He spearheaded the development of landmark projects such as PLDT Tower (36-storeys), Atlanta Centre (37-storeys), Landco Centre (17-storeys), Pacific Mall, Avida Towers, Linear Makati, One Oasis among many others. Aside from his corporate responsibilities, he taught Finance, Strategic Planning and Business English in the Bachelor and Masters’ level at various universities in the Philippines.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Masters in Management (Finance) from the Asian Institute of Management and a Ph.D. in Management from the International Academy of Management and Economics. He has also completed the BC Instructors Diploma (PID) at Vancouver Community College. His research interests are in the sustainability of property developments, Asian family corporations and Opportunities for Canada in The ASEAN Region. Julian is passionate about mountaineering, chess, travel, enjoys reading and believes in the pursuit of excellence in whatever he does. He and his family are volunteers of the Canadian Red Cross. MARIA (MYA) MCKAY
Maria (Mya) McKay, Full time Lecturer, was born and raised in Vancouver. Mya has a BA in English Language and an MA in Language and Literacy Education, both from the University of British Columbia. Creative in her own teaching, she values and practices critical thinking and negotiated learning. Prior to coming to FDU, she has been a freelance writer and educational consultant. For 17 years, until 2006, Mya worked at a private Liberal Arts college, beginning as an instructor and becoming the Director of Academics. She worked in team to develop two-year certificate and four-year diploma programs and wrote curriculum for courses using a content and language approach to academic learning. During that time, Mya set up and implemented an ESL program for students to study for one term at Herstmonceux in England and participated in international field experiences in Mexico.
Having various hobbies and interests, Mya is active in her local community. She has a passion for words and ideas, enjoys writing of all kinds, particularly poetry, and is concerned about social justice.

Dr. Chehra Aboukinane, Adjunct Professor, is a professional engineer with 13 years of experience in consulting practice, academic research and teaching in the areas of project management, leadership, distance education, and sciences and engineering. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Systems Engineering, Master’ s degree in Agricultural Engineering and a PhD, in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
Prior to coming to British Columbia she was working as an engineering consultant in Parsons Corporation in Austin, Texas. She then joined academia as a visiting professor at El Akhawayn University and A&V Institute in Morocco where she directed major research projects. She taught several courses in the areas of sciences and engineering, computer modeling and simulations, information technology, project management, digital universe, leadership and innovation, communications, and distance education. Dr. Chehra Aboukinane is currently acting as technical and program director at Global Innovative Campus and an active faculty member at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Dawn Andrews, Lecturer and part-time faculty, began her studies at Dalhousie University and transferred to the University of Regina in Saskatchewan to complete a BA in psychology and a BSW. She completed an MSW at McGill University in Montreal in management and clinical social work. She also completed a diploma in Adult Education at the University of British Columbia. Dawn has studied the doctorate in educational (EDD/ABD) and completed all course work with a specialization of higher education leadership. Her doctoral research is in the area of global issues in higher education. She holds two professional designations, one as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and the second as a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP). Dawn is a member of The Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE) and the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (ACCE). She has taught previously in higher education at Meritus University, University of Phoenix, Rue Education, DLSI, and Stenberg College. Her professional, clinical and administrative experience includes not-for-profits, private practice incorporation, the provincial Ministry of Health in Mental Health Services, and federally within the Regional Client Services Directorate of Veteran Affairs Canada where she held the designation of subject matter expert (SME) in mental health services.

Jay Ariken, M.Sc., PhD, Adjunct Professor, began his career in advertising where he was part of a creative account servicing team for several international advertising agencies that had offices in America, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Jay worked on brand names such as Coco-cola, SONY, SIA, Siemens, Red-Bull and General Motors in South-East Asia in the mid-eighties. Having started as an Account Executive and progressing forward with strong marketing campaigns for the accounts under his charge, he was promoted to Client Service Director after winning several major accounts that gross advertising revenue over fifteen million dollars in mass media purchases. After serving the advertising industry for 10 years, Jay was poached by a publishing house to be their Vice-President for Corporate Development where he participated in the development of retail magazines that provided editorial for fashion, hospitality, entertainment and sports alongside creating advertising print media space for advertising revenue generation. After eight years in publishing, he decided to pursue a career in education as an educator, where he taught advertising, branding and positioning strategies to mass media campaign building to business, marketing and advertising students.
In education he orchestrated a joint venture and academic pathways with Open Learning Canada, where he was appointed Academic Director for an education conglomerate in Singapore and Malaysia where he oversaw the delivery of distance learning degrees programs in South East Asia. Jay brings with him over fifteen years of educational work experience as an education administrator and as an instructor. Jay continues his educational career here in B.C. as Career College Director for a college in Vancouver and on the same token he teaches at several accredited colleges and universities operating in B.C. Jay has held many senior management portfolio and the experience he brings to our students with his business experience, educational management expertise is the insight to overcoming challenges placed before migrants, international students and newly landed professional immigrants navigating our very complex government system and institutional regulations and by-laws. Felipe Calderon, Adjunct Professor, presently leads the loan underwriting centre of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). He joined BDC in 1994 and has held a variety of field and leadership positions. His extensive banking experience also includes syndicated lending and trade financing in the Philippines and Hong Kong.
Felipe is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a BSc in Agribusiness Management from the University of the Philippines and an MSc in International Banking and Financial Studies from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. He obtained his PhD in Management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
His dissertation topic was on the performance measurement and governance of sustainable lending. He is co-author of a research paper entitled “Dilemma of Sustainable Lending,” published by the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment in April 2014. He also recently completed the Award of Achievement in Sustainability Management offered by the University of British Columbia and the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification offered by Concordia University.

Dr. Nisa Chand, Adjunct Professor teaches Human Resources Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Vancouver campus. Dr Chand, originally from Pakistan, has an extensive educational background in the field of Business Studies. She received her PhD degree (Organisational Behaviour) and postgraduate diploma in Social Science Research methods from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Nisa also earned a Master’s in Management from Bristol University, United Kingdom. Additionally, Nisa holds a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelors in Commerce degree both from Shah Latif University Pakistan.
Dr Chand lived in United Kingdom for 6 years, first as Postgraduate student and then as a PhD researcher. Being an international student she had first hand exposure to the problems commonly faced by international students and their specific classroom needs. As a result Dr Chand’s teaching methodology reflects on and addresses these important issues. Apart from regular teaching at the Cardiff University, she also delivered guest lectures to postgraduate students on the topic of ‘Management Consultancy’. Chand also undertook a management consultancy assignment of UK’s Yeo Valley Company where she completed and delivered a five years' strategic management plan for the company. Chand has also taught as a full time lecturer at Shah Latif University for three years and taught a wide range of Business Studies subjects.
Beside her teaching career, Nisa also has worked on several managerial and administrative posts within and outside of academia. Her industry experience has equipped her to understand the practical implications of HRM practices in both Pakistan and Canada. Additionally, having worked as University Ambassador, Nisa has developed core expertise in handling settlement issues faced by International students.
Nisa is keenly interested in research and has presented her research work at various platforms including Cardiff Organisational Researcher’s Group Conferences held in various cities. She also participated in and presented a working paper on her research at ‘Translations: Exchange of ideas’ 2013: themed interdisciplinary conference. Jose Cid, Adjunct Professor, holds a doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in the USA and an engineering degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Cid's passion for learning and education has been the driving force behind his career. He started in engineering research and development, finding solutions to technical problems and greatly increasing his employer's or client's bottom line.
Then he moved on to manage not only projects, but most importantly, people – the real reason projects transform plans into reality. He had the opportunity to see his visions become reality with the help of many, creating wealth in terms of money and quality of life. As a professor he has been helping people achieve higher goals in their professions and life. As an entrepreneur he invested and lead investments in composite manufacturing, engineering consulting, real estate, financial markets and online education.
The team behind those ventures were the reason for their successes. Hundreds of people have been helped thanks to those entrepreneurs that sided with Cid to create jobs, new awesome products and living environments as well as learning opportunities. Yes, he was never alone. He has been part of teams ranging from 2 to over 50 people of all backgrounds and had the pleasure of working side by side with some of the greatest minds in the industry. Nela is a Lecturer, teaching Academic Writing Skills for graduate students. She has been teaching ESL, EFL, ESP, test preparation courses, and Academic English since 1988. Prior to coming to FDU, Nela taught Preparation in Academic Skills in English at SFU. She has a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, an MA in philology from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Nela has an Advanced TOEFL teaching certificate and is also a Canadian Language Benchmarks assessor. She earned her TESL diploma at VCC. Besides teaching, she has participated in a few curriculum development projects.
When she is not teaching, Nela works as a free-lance translator. She loves, among other things, learning foreign languages, travelling, hiking, skiing, dancing, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Dr Reinaldo Hamamoto, Adjunct Professor, holds a Medical Degree from the Federal University of São Paulo in Brazil, a Masters of Public Health from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and a PhD in Business Management from Getulio Vargas Foundation in Brazil. He has worked in the field of health services management for 15 years, in the areas of risk management, quality in healthcare, public private partnerships and social responsibility.
He has taught in both medical and business programs, in a wide range of disciplines in Primary Care, Public Health, and Human Resources. His research interests include human resources for health, health information and quality in health care. Rick Humphreys, Lecturer, is a Certified Management Accountant and holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. In addition, he holds a Master of Education degree in education administration from the University of Victoria.
Rick has had a 42-year career in both the private and public sectors in all areas of financial administration. He has been involved in all aspects in the administration of: strategic financial planning; accounting and auditing; risk management; human resources benefits, and pension plan administration; information technology; building construction, renovation, maintenance and grounds management; delivery of auxiliary services such as health, food, and transportation services.

NAM PHUONG LE
Dr. Nam Phuong Le, Adjunct Professor, is an expert in business and technology management. He is currently teaching both undergraduate and graduate programs at various post-secondary institutions across North America. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Business Administration from Vancouver Island University, a Master of Science in International Business from University of Hertfordshire (UK), and a Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University (USA). Furthermore, he holds many professional certificates in Information Technology, and Cyber Security.
Besides teaching, Dr. Le is an experienced financial controller, project manager, business and technology consultant. He is also the head of the business department at a local college. In his position, he helps redesigning the business programs and courses. Additionally, he consults several colleges on strategic planning, staff training, implementing educational technology and blended learning.
His research interests include Globalization and Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Tech-startups, Small Business Management, International Business, Business Strategies, and Educational Technology. Dr. Carlos Leon joined FDU as an Adjunct Professor in January 2012. Carlos studied Biology (BSc) and Biochemistry (MSc) in Lima, Peru, before travelling to Canada to study Microbiology and Immunology at UBC (PhD 2004). During his doctoral research, he investigated novel communication mechanisms in human immune cells. After graduation, he worked as a post- doctoral fellow and research associate at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC. As part of his post graduate work, he analyzed cellular cholesterol transport and the role of cholesterol in prostate cancer recurrence. He also contributed to the development of novel antifungal drugs.
He has published twenty peer-reviewed scientific publications and has served as a reviewer and member of editorial board of several scientific journals. He has co-authored several research grants funded by the government of Canada. He also enjoyed mentoring numerous undergraduate and graduate students.
His teaching experience brought him to FDU where he teaches an undergraduate environmental science course and laboratory (BIOL 1105). Carlos is currently teaching two courses of the Master in Administrative Sciences Program at FDU: Ethics and Public Values (MADS 6604) and Law, Ethics and Health Services (MADS 6644). Outside work he enjoys attending church gatherings as well as playing soccer and badminton. He is a volunteer at his daughter’s synchronized swimming club events.

Amiena Mohammed, Lecturer, teaches Academic Writing for graduate students at FDU. She joined FDU-Vancouver in the Fall of 2013. She was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa.
Amiena is an Educator, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN), and Home Economist (HE), with varied qualifications and experience in Food, Nutrition and health-related fields. She has a BA Degree in Human Ecology, in Food Science & Nutrition (Education); BA (Hons) Degree in Community Nutrition, both from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa; Master’s degree (cum laude) in Hospitality Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa; Diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Ontario; and is presently pursuing studies towards Diplomas in Advanced Holistic Nutrition and Wellness Business Systems in Canada.
Amiena’s 20-year academic career has encompassed lecturing, extensive reading and research, curriculum development, training and education in the formal educational settings and non-formal environments. She taught Food & Beverage Operations, Culinary, Nutrition, Food Hygiene & Microbiology, Academic Writing and Research Methodology, and supervised Master’s students’ thesis in the Department of Hospitality Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
She is a dedicated educator and passionate about Holistic Nutrition, and is always willing to utilize her skills gained from her qualifications and experience in the field of Nutrition, Food and Research for the benefit of the community and the improvement of nutritional health and wellness.

Andrea Nicki, Adjunct Professor, has a Ph.D. in philosophy and critical thinking from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Bioethics at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests are in professional ethics, human rights, discrimination, cultural sensitivity, immigration, health care policy, community engagement, workplace health and safety, and environmental sustainability. Her articles have appeared in journals and anthologies and she was granted a book contract with an academic press while at the Center for Bioethics. From 2009-2015 she was a faculty lecturer in applied health ethics and disability studies in the department of health sciences at Simon Fraser University. She received an award from the department for excellence in undergraduate teaching for 2011-2012. She really enjoys teaching and mentoring students, and started with her students the SFU Student Health Ethics Club, serving as faculty mentor. She completed a TESOL certificate at Vancouver Community College to broaden her teaching skills and better support ESL students. She has taught ESL and critical thinking at colleges and immigrant resource centers, such as the Pacific Immigrant Resource Society. She really appreciates the small class sizes at FDU and the opportunity for more personal interactions and for building classroom community

Mehran Norafkan, Adjunct Professor, received his PhD in Linguistics from Simon Fraser University, Canada.
His PhD dissertation and research activity at Simon Fraser University focus on Second cultural models and language learning through mediation of technology and CALL (Computer assisted Language Learning). Concentrating on certain areas of Linguistics including Cognitive Linguistics, CALL (Computer assisted Language Learning), Applied Linguistics, and Material Development, he has been particularly considerate in the application of his theoretical knowledge in real practice of the job. He earned his Associate Degree in Medical Science, 1994 and Bachelor's Degree in English, 1998 from Isfahan University; he completed his Master's Degree in the area of Second Language Acquisition, 2000 in Isfahan, Iran.
Acting as a university lecturer/researcher for over 14 years and an ESL instructor for over 20 years has motivated him to develop higher and better talents and skills in education research and practice. Since 2011 he has taught Language and Translation courses and acted as the course chair of Persian language at Language Training Institute, Simon Fraser University. He has taught Linguistics and TESL courses in universities and colleges both in North America and Middle East. Also, he has conducted and taught Writing Workshops at SIAT, SFU. He has supervised online programs on second language learning internationally. He was engaged in material development during his teaching career from time to time, but his professional turning point of material development started in 2010. It was due to his findings in second language education and social interactions on metaphorical competence development in second language learning.
He joined FDU Vancouver campus in 2014, and he has been working with English Language team since then. He has also acted as the co-advisor of Special Projects in Hospitality Management studies, FDU.

Jim Randall, Lecturer, is a successful business leader whose interest is to contribute to the success of current and future leaders by helping them discover, tell and live their story.
His business career includes being Vice President Marketing, Vice President Operations and Vice President Customer Services for a major Canadian utility company. Here he was on the management team that put together the largest privatization of a utility in the North American energy industry at that time. Upon the successful completion of the privatization he became responsible for leading the organization through change in preparation for a new competitive environment.
While a professor in the undergraduate and MBA programs in leadership and marketing at the University of Phoenix and Meritus University, he enhanced his understanding of the skills and processes that creative leaders use to create successful enterprise.
In 2011 he began his association with University Canada West as an adjunct professor and started teaching in 2012 at Sprott-Shaw Degree College and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Dr. Sydney Scott, Adjunct Professor, holds a Doctorate in Education: Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, an MBA and B.Sc. from the University of Alberta. She also holds CPCC designation in coaching and has taken three advanced coaching certificates. She has incorporated coaching in her teaching since 1998 when she led the development of BCIT’s Management degree which was based on coaching.
Her principle research interests are in leadership, change and adult development. She has created programs and courses undergraduate and graduate levels in Business. While she has taught a wide range of courses her specialization areas are leadership, change including self and team development, human resources, global issues, organizational and personal ethics and strategy
Dr. Scott has extensive industry experience and has been actively involved in business, and in advising businesses for more than twenty years.
Touss Sepehr, Lecturer, has earned an AA (Associate in Arts) in Journalism & Communications from the American University in Paris (Dean’s List); a BA in Political Science (with a major in US Government and European Systems of Government) from Schiller International University’s Paris campus as well as an MA in International Relations (High Honors) in conjunction with the Sorbonne (Universite de Paris); a doctorate candidate from the Sorbonne and a PhD candidacy (High Honors) from University of Vienna’s Institute of Political Science in Austria. He spent his high school years in American /International private boarding schools in Rome & Florence in Italy and earned his High School Diploma from Rome’s Notre Dame International School. Most recently he served as OPEC’s Senior PR & Communications Officer and Editor of OPEC News Agency in Vienna, Austria for its maximum eight-year term. He is a diplomat by formation and has some twenty years of international teaching experience.
He is the author of “Language of Diplomacy” as well as numerous articles and interviews. He speaks fluent English, French, Italian & Persian (Farsi) and has basic knowledge of German and Latin. He is a Canadian citizen and holds permanent EU residency. He is married and has two sons.

Mohamed Sheriff, Lecturer, obtained his graduate degree in Information Systems Design from Westminster University London, England. Upon graduation, he started lecturing at London Tutorial College and he also worked for Channel 5 which is a television station in England. Furthermore, he has 15 plus years Information Technology experience working for financial, utility, telecommunication and television companies in various countries and continents. In the process, he has worked as head of various Information Technology units/sectors in which he has worked with executives to formulate, implement and deploy 1-3 years plans in areas of enterprise technology such as IT infrastructure, software development, Enterprise Information Systems, computer security, forensics, policies, business process, operations management, information management (to name a few) that aligns and meet global organizations business needs.
In addition, he also has 10 plus years university lecturing/teaching experience; teaching Computer Science, Information Systems, Business and Management courses at London Tutorial College, City University, University of Phoenix (Vancouver Campus), University of Phoenix (Online) and University of Meritus. He was also a Subject Matter Expert at the University of Phoenix and Meritus for various Computer Science, Information Systems, Business and Management courses at undergraduate and MBA level. Dr. James Y. W. Tong is an Adjunct Professor at FDU. Under the sponsorship of the Sir Robert Black Scholarship Scheme administered by the Hong Kong Government, he was awarded the scholarship to take up his postgraduate studies in management at the University of Salford, England, and was conferred the degree of Master of Science in Management. His subsequent doctoral degrees include Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Nottingham, England, and Doctor of Business Administration from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His doctoral research theses were in the areas of Quality and Effectiveness of Distance Education as well as Business Process Re-engineering.
On top of his sound academic qualifications, he has obtained professional designations of several leading chartered bodies in the United Kingdom. These include: Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Chartered Institute of Transport, Chartered Institute of Marketing, and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA) of British Columbia, Canada; Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) – a joint initiative of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of Hong Kong; and Member of the Canadian Institute of Marketing (MCInstM).
He commenced his full-time teaching career at the Hong Kong Technical College (now Hong Kong Polytechnic University) where he taught courses in business and management. He was formerly Senior Lecturer/Program Leader responsible for the general management and human resources management programs for the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business administration at the Open University of Hong Kong. His last academic position in Hong Kong was the Program Director of the Caritas Group being responsible for all the business and hospitality management programs leading to the awards of certificate, diploma, and Associate Degree as well as Higher National Diploma of the Business and Technical Education Council (BTEC) of the United Kingdom. He also conducted public seminars and lectures in sales and marketing, financial management, human resources management, business, and general management.
While in Vancouver, he was appointed Head of the Business Administration Department for a leading educational group, which was a private tertiary institution offering diploma, advanced diploma, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in hospitality management and business administration under the auspices of Lansbridge University and Central Michigan University. He was later appointed as a Lecturer in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program at the Sprott-Shaw Degree College. He has written quite a number of academic papers on academic and management topics which were published and appeared in leading international journals.
In addition to his teaching career, he has extensive working experience at senior management levels in both private and public organizations, covering the disciplines of sales and marketing, administration, human resources management, and general management. During his time at Hong Kong Telecommunications Limited, he was the first local executive appointed as the Group Company Secretary.
In his community service, he joined the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force and was promoted to the rank of Superintendent commanding a police district to carry out operational duties for maintenance of law and order.
