Attention Students --- Canada Post Issues 72-hour lockout notice to union
Canada Post has issued Canadian Union of Postal Workers with a 72 hour lockout notice. There is a possibility of a work stoppage on Friday, July 8th.
In the event of a full labour disruption, Canada Post will not operate. Mail and parcels will not be delivered, and no new items will be accepted. Any mail and parcels within the postal system during a work disruption will be secured and delivered as quickly as possible once operations resume. For further details about this strike, you can visit the Canada Post website.
Fairleigh Dickinson University – Vancouver Campus will not mail any letters or documents as of June 29th to prevent any possible loss of documents or delays. Students who need to request any documents are highly encouraged to pick up their documents at the University or pay for the courier fee.

Student Pinnacle Award Winner - Vancouver Campus
Laura Rodriguez Romero, a student in the International Business Program at the Vancouver Campus has won the Student Pinnacle Award for 2016. The Award is bestowed upon an outstanding undergraduate student member of the graduating class. The recipient will deliver the Commencement Address on behalf of the Vancouver Campus during the annual Commencement Ceremonies in Vancouver and New Jersey in May 2016. The recipient is chosen from nominated students who have excelled both in their degree programs and contributed significantly to the betterment of the University and to the communities that they live in.
Born in Colombia and educated at high school level in El Salvador, Rodriguez Romero has a current GPA of 3.88. During her time with FDU-Vancouver, she has been active as a Global Scholar, as a member of the Model United Nations Association where she represented the Vancouver campus in the World Model United Nations Association in South Korea, and is also an active member of the Toastmasters Club. VANCOUVER STUDENTS WIN AWARD AT NATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2016
Congratulations to Peter Mate and Viet “Lucky” Truong for winning the Outstanding Delegation Award in their Habitat III Committee, as voted by their peers at NMUN 2016. During the last day of committee sessions, delegates in each committee were asked to vote for their top 3 performing delegations. This is an extremely impressive accomplishment as only 3 universities out of 150 were awarded this distinction by their peers in the Habitat III committee. [more]

Students wishing to have their degrees certified by the consul should apply directly to the consulate. The consulate will check your name and information against the official FDU graduation list.
