There is a bookstore on each campus where students and employees can purchase not only textbooks and school supplies but also fiction and nonfiction books, gift items, sweatshirts sporting the Fairleigh Dickinson University insignia, newspapers, greeting cards, snacks and sundries. Many items are offered to employees at a discount.
Cafeterias are located in the Student Union Building at the Metropolitan Campus and in the Student Center at the Florham Campus.
In addition: On the Florham Campus, we have a Nathan's Restaurant and the Florham Club in Rice Lounge in the Stadler/Zenner Academic Building*, SNAX a sandwich/coffee shop located in the lower level of the Mansion, the Rain Garden Café offering a pizza style menu located in the Student Center.

On the Metropolitan Campus the Jeepers food court, located along the River in Alumni Hall offers everything from stir-fry to sandwiches and pizza. The Dickinson Café, located on the first floor of Dickinson Hall, is available for salads, sandwiches and hot and cold beverages.
A unique advantage of working at the University is the broad range of concerts, lectures and social activities available to employees. There are lecture series, seminars and conferences on each campus, and performances by the Opera at Florham Park, as well as art exhibits in the Edward Williams Building. In addition, student athletic events and some other student events scheduled through the Student Affairs offices are open to employees. Watch for announcements. Contact the Athletics Department for information regarding the recreational facilities in the Ferguson Recreational Center at the Florham Campus and the Rothman Center at the Metropolitan Campus, which are open to employees and, in some instances, their family members.
The purpose of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Federal Credit Union is to encourage savings and to provide loans to eligible members. The FDU Federal Credit Union is an independent banking organization, membership in which is open to all full-time and part-time employees and their families. The credit union offers many services: a variety of savings accounts, certificates of deposit, IRAS, first and second mortgages, and open-end equity lines of credit, as well as traditional loans and free travelers checks. Savings and loan payments may be made by mail or in person or, if employees prefer, through payroll deduction or direct deposit.
Employees may open savings and checking accounts as soon as they are employed, but they must have completed three months of service before attaining eligibility to borrow.
The main Credit Union Office is located at the Florham Campus and has business hours Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A branch office is located on the Metropolitan Campus in Alumni Hall and has business hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Credit union offices are closed on all bank holidays.
A credit union representative is located in Dickinson Hall on the Hackensack side of the Metropolitan Campus to receive deposits. As an additional convenience, deposits and withdrawals may be made at other credit unions through a shared services network. Contact the credit union office for a listing of participating credit unions.
Student Health Services Offices staffed by licensed nurses are located at the Metropolitan and Florham Campuses. Health promotion workshops, smoking- cessation programs and programs for weight loss and controlling high blood pressure are offered.
Library resources on each campus are available to all University employees. A University identification card is required to gain access.
Employees are provided with free parking in designated areas. A parking decal is necessary and must be obtained at the campus Public Safety Office. All campus parking regulations must be adhered to and any fines resulting from parking violations must be paid in a timely manner.
