Division III Athletes Inducted into Hall of Fame
Outstanding individual athletes and the 1984 field hockey team were inducted into the Division III Hall of Fame in ceremonies held on November 6 at The Madison Hotel in Morristown, N.J. The honorees received their portraits and renderings of themselves in action. The Contribution to FDU Athletics Award and the Dennis McAdam Scholarships were also presented.
This year’s honorees, all from the Florham Campus, were:
• Lauren Brazier, BA’11, volleyball;
• Brittany Kanickij, BA’11, MAT’12, women’s soccer;
• Matthew Oliveto, BA’12, baseball;
• Krystle Birmingham Sacco, BA’08, MAT’09, field hockey;
• Angela Sorrentino Salisbury, BS’02, women’s basketball;
• Scott Shadiack, BS’07, MBA’10, men’s lacrosse; and
• Patrick Walsh, BS’09, men’s golf.
Members of the honored field hockey team were: Beth Briede Acquaire, BS’87; Alexis Balsamides, BS’88; Joan Eckerstrom Barrett, BS’87; Lori Wimbush Bray, BS’86; Pat Buxton, ’84; Donna Cessara, ’84; Maria Donohue, BS’89; Lisa Gent, BS’87; Stephanie Kuzemchak, BS’88; Catherine Lamb, BS’86; Kristin Mesick Lisowski, BS’88; Patti Lynch, BS’89; Julia Muller, BS’87; Alison Kern Wood, BS’86; Becky York, BA’87; Head Coach Hallie Cohen; and Assistant Coach Gigi Klipa.

The Contribution to FDU Athletics Award was presented to Richard Mosca, former head football coach (2002–2010) and offensive coordinator (1985–1989, 2000–2001).
In addition, Dennis McAdam Memorial Scholarships were presented to Kelsey Leibner, a psychology major and member of the field hockey team, and Ryan Rigby, a sports administration major and member of the men’s basketball team. Scholarship awardees must have a grade point ratio of at least 3.00, be involved in activities outside the classroom and be a student leader. The late McAdam, BS’72 (Flor), a member of the Hall of Fame Class of 2002, played varsity lacrosse for the Devils for four years, was team captain, was voted most valuable player as a freshman and was an All-Metropolitan selection for four years.
