VALE Reciprocal Borrowing

For FDU Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students

The VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Program allows FDU faculty, staff and graduate students to visit participating New Jersey college and university libraries and borrow circulating materials. Faculty, staff and graduate students who are in good standing with the FDU Library can apply for a guest card by completing a simple application form. The application is available at the circulation desk in either the Giovatto Library on the Metropolitan Campus or the Monninger Center on the Florham Campus or can be accessed and printed here. Please note that the form must be signed by an FDU Library staff member in order to proceed with the application process.

Issued guest cards will be valid for one academic year with an expiration date of June 30. Guest faculty, staff and graduate students must follow the circulation policies of the lending libraries. To learn more about the general guidelines and polices regarding this program, please visit the VALE Reciprocal Borrowing web page.

For Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students from Other Participating Institutions

As members of the VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Program, the Giovatto Library on the Metropolitan campus and the Monninger Center offer book borrowing privileges to those faculty, staff and graduate students from participating institutions. Your borrowing card is issued for your use at either the Giovatto Library or Monninger Center only. Others may not use your card. If borrowing privileges are needed at both campus libraries, then two separate application forms must be completed. You must show your updated borrowing card each time at check out.
