From Vineland - Travel west on Landis Avenue to the junction of Route 47 (Delsea Drive) intersection; travel south on Route 47; turn right onto Sherman Avenue (Route 552); drive approximately one mile to College Drive, turn left; the college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Bridgeton - Take Irving Avenue to Route 552 through Carmel; College Drive is approximately two miles past Carmel at the traffic light, turn right; the college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Millville - Drive north on High Street to Route 47 (Delsea Drive); travel north on Route 47; turn left onto Route 552 (Sherman Avenue); drive approximately one mile to College Drive, turn left; the college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Philadelphia - From the Walt Whitman Bridge take Route 42 South; take Route 55 South; take Exit 29 (Route 552-South Vineland/Bridgeton); take Route 552 to traffic light at College Drive, turn right; the college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Trenton - Take Route 206 South; take 295 South to Route 42 South for approximately 2 miles; take Route 55 South to Exit 29 (Route 552-South Vineland/Bridgeton); take Route 552 East to traffic light at College Drive, turn right; the college is about one-half mile on the right.

From New Jersey Turnpike - To Exit 7; take 295 South to Route 42 South; travel approximately 2 miles; take Route 55 South; take Exit 29 (Route 552-South Vineland/Bridgeton Exit); take Route 552 East to traffic light at College Drive; turn right; the college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Garden State Parkway - Take the Atlantic City Expressway North to Exit 12E; take Route 40W to Route 552 West. Continue on Route 552 through intersection with Route 47 (Delsea Drive) for one-half mile to traffic light at College Drive/Orchard Road; turn left, college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Delaware Memorial Bridge - Take Route 40 East; travel through Woodstown and Elmer to Route 55 South; take Exit 29 (Route 552-South Vineland/Bridgeton); take Route 552 East to traffic light at College Drive, turn right; college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Southern Cape May County - Drive north on Route 47 to Route 55; travel on Route 55 to Exit 29 (Route 552-South Vineland/Bridgeton); take Route 552 East to traffic light at College Drive, turn right; college is about one-half mile on the right.

From Middle Cape May County - Proceed west on Route 49 to Route 55; travel on Route 55 to Exit 29 (Route 552-South Vineland/Bridgeton); take Route 552 East to traffic light at College Drive, turn right; college is one-half mile on the right.

The bookstore is located in the Student Center. Textbooks, supplies and college clothing, can be purchased. Students receiving grants, loans, and scholarships must bring a completed bookstore voucher, your printed schedule, and your student ID with you when you purchase your textbooks. Textbook prices are subject to change without notice. The listed prices are posted before the books arrive and are only estimates. You may sell your textbooks back to the bookstore during finals week. The bookstore will buy back limited amounts of specific texts for 50% of the new price. All other text will be purchased at the current wholesale price. Procedures for returns and refunds will be posted in the bookstore each semester or session.

 The bookstore provides extended hours during the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. The bookstore is closed during campus breaks and holidays. The hours of operation are as follows:

 Mondays & Thursdays      9:00am-7:00 pm

Tuesdays & Wednesdays      9:00am-4:30 pm

Fridays                       9:00am-1:00 pm

The cafeteria is located in the Student Center. The cafeteria provides a full line of hot and cold food. Breakfast is served all day; lunch starts at 10:30 a.m. Snacks and drinks are also available from vending machines located throughout campus. The hours of operation for the cafeteria are as follows:

 Monday - Thursday              8:00am-7:00 pm

Friday                                  8:00am-3:00 pm

Saturday - Sunday                 CLOSED

The cafeteria is closed during the summer.

The library supports research, independent study and the academic programs of the college. The library provides access to data in a variety of formats and through multiple consortia. An Information Commons furnishes access to online databases through our web page (reach the Library through the college web page and access to CD-ROM, word processing and spreadsheet applications). Since some databases allow remote access, please stop at the circulation desk to receive passwords. An information literacy program addresses components in library orientation, bibliographic instruction and search skills and strategies.

 The college library is a member of the Cumberland County CLUES Library System. Please bring your Student ID to the library each semester to update your library card. The library is the one story building located next to the Fine and Performing Arts Building. Librarians and staff can be reached at extension 263 or through email addresses that are located on the college web page.

Student Lounge
The student lounge is located in the Student Center. The lounge is designed for the enjoyment and relaxation of the campus community and it includes a 25-inch color television. Students are expected to keep the Lounge neat and clean. While eating and drinking are permitted in the lounge, students are expected to dispose of their own trash in the receptacles provided. Failure to keep the lounge neat and clean may result in the loss of the use of the student lounge.

Occasionally, activities of educational interest are provided for the students in the Lounge. Some student organizations also use the Student Lounge as a meeting area. During these meeting times, other students utilizing the lounge are expected to be respectful. The television may  be turned off during these meetings and/or activities. The student lounge is open according to the following schedule: 

      Monday - Thursday      7:00 am to 8:30 pm

      Friday                   7:00 am to 4:30 pm

      Saturday & Sunday      Closed

Fitness Center
The campus fitness center is located in the gymnasium in the Student Center (phone ext. 432). The facility includes a fitness room located on the second floor and locker rooms including showers located on the first floor. Equipment is available for a full body work out and includes both cardio stations and weight machines. There are ten cardio stations and fourteen weight machines. Exercise specialists are available to provide assistance with equipment utilization, fitness assessment and plan. The hours of operation are posted and students must present a valid student ID for entrance.

Fine & Performing Arts Center
The Frank Guaracini, Jr. Fine & Performing Arts Center is a multi-purpose performance facility. It hosts a wide variety of professional and community events throughout the year. In addition, the facility provides students with a range of opportunities and services. Student clubs are able to use the facility for club activities. Student rush tickets are often available and at greatly discounted prices for the professional music, theatre, and dance events presented by the center. The Guaracini Center Box Office can be reached at ext. 391. If you want to reserve the theatre or lobby for a club activity, call ext. 370.

Student ID's
All students enrolled in credit classes must have a validated student identification card. ID validation must be updated every semester. Student photo ID's are available in the Fitness Center/Athletic Office, located in the Student Center. Information regarding dates and times are posted in the fitness center. There is a replacement fee for lost, stolen or damaged ID cards.

 Bulletin Boards
Students wishing to post materials on campus bulletin boards must have the material stamped and approved by the Student Activities Coordinator or their club advisor. Materials that have not been approved or properly posted will be removed. Items may not be posted on glass doors or door windows.

Children on Campus
Unsupervised children are not allowed on campus. This requirement is for the safety of the children and the learning environment of the campus. Students cannot bring their children to their class(es). Students cannot leave their children in offices, labs, lounge, cafeteria or other college facilities. Children can be distracting to students and instructors when present in instructional areas. Unattended children are at greater risk to be injured, cause damage, or be lost.    Failure to observe and comply with this requirement can result in the student being directed to leave campus with their children and/or other disciplinary sanctions. Children enrolled or participating in college programs or activities are permitted on campus for the duration of their particular activity or program. 

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted in any building on campus or within 25 feet of building entrances. Disciplinary sanctions can be imposedon students who violate this College regulation.

In the event of weather-related emergencies, announcements about the status of Cumberland County College classes will be aired on several area radio stations.

Announced closings are also incorporated into college’s voice mail messaging. The radio, TV and voice mail message are the only official college closing announcements.

Bus Service
NJ Transit operates bus service on weekdays only between 7:00am and 10:30pm to Cumberland County College. The #553 bus serves Upper Deerfield, Bridgeton, Millville, and Vineland. The campus bus stop is located adjacent to faculty parking lot and academic building. Schedules of services and rates are available at the reception area in the administrative building, posted at bus stop and from NJ Transit.

Public Telephones
Telephones are located outside in front of the administration building, in the student center hallway next to the Advisement Office, on the first and second floor of the Academic Building, in the Wheaton Building, inside the Library, and outside the Agriculture/Horticulture Building. There are also public telephones in the Fine & Performing Arts Center and at the Bus Stop. All campus public phones will allow calls to be made but not received.

Campus Security Procedures & Services
Cumberland County College maintains a strong commitment to campus security and safety. To accomplish our goal it is imperative that students, faculty, staff or visitors report any emergencies, suspicious or criminal activity they observe. The telephone number to contact security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is the campus switchboard operator. If you are calling from any telephone on campus dial “0”. When calling the switchboard off campus, please dial the main telephone number, 856/691-8600, when the recorded message comes on press “0”.

 The Security and Safety Office is responsible for emergency responses and maintains a working relationship with the Vineland Police Department to ensure a safe environment for the entire campus community.

Traffic Accidents, Vandalism or Theft
Traffic accidents, vandalism or theft which occur in the campus parking lots should be reported to the  Supervisor for Security and Safety in the Administration Building. This will allow for an incident report to be completed and the local police contacted, which may be necessary for any claim you wish to file with your auto insurance. It is important for the college to be aware of incidents of vandalism and theft in order to monitor and respond to such incidents. Parking Regulations
All students are required to register their vehicle and display a current College parking permit on their vehicle. Except where reserved areas are designated, student parking is permitted in the lots across from the Administration Building, the Student Center, and the Guaracini Fine & Performing Arts Center. Student parking places are designated by white line markings. Areas without designated parking places are no parking areas.  Student parking is NOT PERMITTED in the designated visitors and staff parking area. Additional student parking information is available in the Campus Parking  & Traffic Brochure. Parking violators will be charged $5 for the first violation and $10 for each subsequent violation. Excessive parking violations can result in disciplinary sanctions beyond the payment of fines. 

Sexual Assault
The college does not tolerate sexual assault in any form. Sexual assault includes any forcible and/or nonforcible sex offense, including acquaintance rape in accordance with current state and federal law. Students who are victims of sexual assault are afforded specific rights. The college also has specific responsibilities for assisting students. Additional information concerning these rights and responsibilities are available in the Campus Sexual Assault Victim's Bill of Rights brochure. Students may report incidents of sexual assault to Campus Security (ext. 0),  the Affirmative Action Office, ext. 235, and/or the Executive Director of Student Life and Campus Services, ext. 211. All of these offices are located in the Administration Building.
