Online Learning and Off-campus Sites
Fairleigh Dickinson University has become a pioneer in the integration of online learning into its curriculum. Whether through our many fully online degree and certificate programs that enroll students from across the country, or through our first-in-the-nation online learning requirement for on-campus students, we work hard to ensure that the online teaching and learning experience is rich and highly interactive.
FDU has for years offered a wide variety of online degrees and professional certificates to students around the world. All of our online offerings meet the same rigorous standards that characterize our campus based academic programs. Online learning the FDU way is very interactive, with small class size and frequent contact with fellow students and instructor. It is always an interesting personal experience.
Online resources complement FDU's four physical campuses: Florham, Metro, Wroxton, and Vancouver. As part of its globally focused educational mission, FDU has incorporated the World Wide Web into its approach to teaching and learning. Using online learning resources, far-flung FDU students and faculty can come together to interact, to research, and to further their studies. Web-based courses, downloads, online textbook shopping, and other resources make it easy for the FDU community to communicate and use their time more efficiently.
Webcampus is FDU's online courseware resource, utilizing Blackboard online systems.
FDU students on campus and online are provided with a Webmail electronic mail account.
Webadvisor allows most FDU students to register online for their courses, and to track their academic progress and grades.
The University Technical Assistance Center, available 24/7, is the Help Desk resource for students whether on campus or online.
Coursefinder provides online search for courses and sections offered during the current semesters.
FDU online learners can take advantage of extensive online library resources.
