Apply for Housing
Important: Students pursuing an AA degree (2-year program) do not qualify to apply for housing.
Below information only applies to students applying for housing on the Metropolitan Campus (Teaneck, NJ).
All residents must apply for housing using our online application via MyHousing. As of September 2013, paper housing applications no longer exist on the Metropolitan Campus and are not accepted.
The Fall 2017 Housing Application for First-Year & New Students is now live.
For All First-Year and New Students:
New students to Fairleigh Dickinson University receive housing information upon their admission to the University with their Admissions Acceptance Package from the Office of Admissions (Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, or International Admissions). A Residence Hall Deposit ($200) and a Damage Deposit ($150) are required of all new resident students. Applications for housing for new students are due May 1st for Fall applicants and December 1st for Spring applicants. Click here to pay deposits. The Fall 2017 Housing Application for First-Year & New Students will be available as of January 30, 2017.
For Returning Resident Students:
During the Spring semester, current resident students who plan to return to housing for the following academic year have the opportunity to select their room and roommate during the Room Selection Process (Keep My Same Room Day, Priority Room Selection Day, or General Room Selection). Only residents that pay their residence hall deposit by the established deadline will be able to participate in Keep My Room Day or Priority Room Selection Day.
Late depositing residents will be able to participate in the General Room Selection (residents are able to select their building, room, and roommate). After General Room Selection ends (June 1), residents may still apply for housing, however, based on availability, a room and roommate is selected for you.
For Commuter Students:
During the Spring semester, current FDU commuter students, who are interested in on-campus housing for the following academic year, have the opportunity to select their room and roommate during the General Room Selection.
For All Students arriving for the Spring Semester:
