Student Service Organizations
COMMUTER STUDENT ASSOCIATION (CSA)
The main objective of this association is to advocate for the needs and interests of the commuter student population. The association also serves as a means for commuters interested in getting involved in clubs and activities. It also provides commuters with opportunities for socializing and networking among other fellow commuter students.
The purpose of Emerging Leaders is to: enhance leadership skills in students; to foster leadership on campus; to increase self-confidence levels in students; to promote self-growth in students; and to encourage the next generation to be involved and lead in and around campus.
FLORHAM PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE (FPC)
The purpose of this board is to plan, organize, and execute activities that meet the varied and diverse needs and interests of the student body. The board also encourages an atmosphere of cooperative programming among all student clubs and organizations. The office is located on the first floor of the StudentCenter.
RESIDENT STUDENT ASSOCIATION (RSA)
This association addresses resident student needs and also plans events and programs.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION (SGA)
The Student Government Association is under the auspices of the Dean of Students Office. SGA consists of an elected body of student leaders who are responsible for reviewing all student opinions and representing the student body by communicating with faculty and administration. SGA is responsible for funding student organizations. The office is located on the first floor of the StudentCenter and the phone number is 973-443-8581.
STUDENT VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION (SVA)
The purpose of this association is to promote citizenship by performing acts of community service for the Fairleigh Dickinson population, as well as the communities in the surrounding areas.
