Florham Campus Counseling Services
During college, you might experience a great many stresses in your life – sorting out your independence and identity, establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships, coping with anxiety and depression, finding confidence and direction, dealing with body-image or excessive substance use, and handling academic demands. To help with these challenges and more, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a variety of mental health services that integrate physical, emotional, academic, spiritual, social, and cultural well-being.
Our feelings, beliefs, attitudes, spiritual life, and physical well-being are closely intertwined. Therefore, CAPS utilizes a wellness approach to counseling involving the integration of mind, body, and spirit for the purpose of living more fully in the moment and improving the quality of life in proactive and positive ways. This preventive approach helps individuals achieve mental, physical, and emotional wellness.
Most students come to CAPS when their usual ways of handling problems are not working well. You may find, for instance, that even after talking to friends or family and making attempts to solve your problems, you still feel anxious, sad, or lost. We encourage you to explore these pages to learn more about the services CAPS provide.
