FDU's Visual and Performing Arts Department presents Summer and Smoke

One of Tennessee Williams’ most subtle and tender works, Summer and Smoke explores the conflict between body and soul. Set in Mississippi, Alma Winemiller, the uptight and repressed minister’s daughter, is deeply attracted to the boy who lives next door, the doctor’s son, who is wild, adventurous, mischievous pleasure seeker. Her inability to express her feelings and the gulf that lies between them leads to a heartbreaking conclusion.

Directed by Stephen Hollis
