French Carnival Performed by All Seasons Chamber Players

Teaneck, NJ (September 27, 2017) The All Seasons Chamber Players, one of News Jersey’s most popular and active chamber music ensembles, will perform a special concert of chamber music at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 8th in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Hall (150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, N.J.). The event is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Department and will also include a reception and art exhibit in the Edward Williams Gallery of work by Pam Loveless, entitled Retrospective.

About the Program:

The program, entitled French Carnival will offer contrasting works of four French composers. It will feature All Seasons’ version of Saint Saens’ popular Carnival of the Animals, often used to introduce young audiences to classical music: Cesar Frank’s beloved Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano; Faure’s Fantasie for Flute and Piano; and Loeillet’s Sonata in B Minor for Piano Trio. Robert Lawrence, co-director for programs, will introduce each piece to the audience with entertaining spoken program notes.

Performers will include flutist Lisa Hansen of Leonia, violinist Bob Lawrence of NYC; cellist E. Zoe Hassman of NYC; pianists Jean Strickholm of Demarest and Jacqueline Schiller-Audi of Paramus.

The All Seasons Chamber Players has performed over 770 live concerts in the metropolitan area.  In addition, thousands of people have heard the ensemble on local TV stations. Ensemble performers are professional musicians who also play with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals.

Winner of the Award for Artistic Excellence from the Bergen County of Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs, the ensemble has also received grants from several corporate and private sources.
