Nominate the 2017 New Jersey Family Business of the Year

Madison, N.J. (April 19, 2017) – Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is seeking nominations for the 25th annual New Jersey Family Business of the Year Award. This prestigious award recognizes the significant contributions to the economy and community made by N.J. family-owned businesses whose innovative strategies and business practices make a positive impact on the state, local economy and society.

Since 1992, Rothman Institute coordinates with other corporate sponsors to create the annual New Jersey Family Business of the Year Awards, which selects the finest family businesses in the state and recognizes them at an awards luncheon each fall. Winners will be profiled in New Jersey Business magazine.

Honorees are divided into two categories, businesses with up to $10 million in annual sales and businesses with over $10 million in annual sales. Download an application to nominate a family business now through May 29, 2017.

A panel of judges comprised of previous winners and members of the business community will choose companies that best exemplify a multigenerational impact on the community, perseverance, commitment to family, and business success. This year’s sponsors include PNC Bank, Sobel & Co., Fox Rothschild, the Crystal Plaza, New Jersey Business & Industry Association, New Jersey Business magazine, and FDU’s Silberman College of Business and Rothman Institute.

Previous winners include APM Hexseal, an electronic parts supplier in Englewood; ROYCE Leather, a leather accessories shop in Secaucus; and Magna Power Electronics, an electronics manufacturer in Flemington.
