About the Artist

Romero has been drawing and painting since childhood, exhibiting both photography and paintings in Europe, Mexico and throughout the United States.

Romero travels around the country by train, drawing and painting what he sees in the passing landscape.  Some of the paintings reflect the experiences of fleeting images passing at great speed from the train. An avid sketch artist he keeps a daily sketch journal, which was done by traveling across America. Through his art, he reveals a world of passionate journeys, through public and private pathways. Both playful and powerful, his vision of the world blends personal experience with fantastic imagination.

Romero’s work is best described “as ideas from the sub-conscious, as I do not begin a painting with much of a plan. They take on their own design, colors are selected at random and most of what is accomplished is a complete surprise.”
