‘Gestures of Love’ Art Exhibit
“Gestures of Love: Activism Through Writing and Art,” an art exhibit about the AIDS epidemic — where it has been and where it is now — will run from Tuesday, December 1, through March 2016, at the Writing and Visual Express (WaVE) exhibit area, College Writing Office, Suite 222, Upper Balcony, Monninger Center for Learning and Research, Florham Campus.
Sponsored by college writing and graphic arts, the exhibit is inspired by the work of Jeff Conway, HIV/AIDS advocate. The exhibit’s opening reception will be held on Tuesday, December 1, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the Upper Balcony of the Monninger Center.
The WaVE exhibit area is open from Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m; it may be open at other times as well. For information contact Mary Kathryn Douglas, college writing and director, college writing (Flor), at 973-443-8718, or Martha Garcia, secretary, literature/language/writing/philosophy (Flor), at 973-443-8710.
