Fairleigh Dickinson University maintains prestigious AACSB business accreditation

The Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Today, there are 755 business schools in 51 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation.

”The announcement by AACSB that we have maintained our business accreditation recognizes our commitment to being impactful through innovation and engagement,” said Andrew J. Rosman, Dean of Silberman College of Business. “We pride ourselves in creating value for our alumni, current students, and the business communities that we serve and look forward to continuing to do so as we move forward.”

Silberman College of Business is a tri-campus college of the University, offering undergraduate and graduate programs at the Florham Campus, Madison, NJ and on the Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, NJ. FDU's Vancouver Campus, located in downtown Vancouver, Canada, offers bachelor degree studies in Business Management and Information Technology. The College aims to achieve regional recognition as a leading provider of high quality, innovative education in business management through the applied research and professional activities of the faculty.

The primary goal of the Silberman College of Business is to achieve regional and global recognition as a leading provider of high-quality, innovative business education that emphasizes the linkage of theory to the practice of business. The mission of the College is to prepare graduates to assume leadership positions in a global business community characterized by rapid technological and social change. The educational programs are built on the diverse backgrounds and experiences of both the faculty and students, emphasizing the practice of business management through the applied research and professional activities of the faculty.

“It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB Accreditation,” said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students.”
