String Fling performed by the All Seasons Chamber Players

Teaneck, N.J. (April 1, 2016) — The All Seasons Chamber Players, one of New Jersey’s most popular and active chamber music ensembles, will perform a special concert of chamber music at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 10 in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Hall (150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, N.J.). The event is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Department and will also include a reception and art exhibit in the Edward Williams Gallery of works by Marsha Solomon entitiled “Marsha Solomon Retrospective …Traces of My Brush.”

About the Program:

The program, “String Fling,” will feature works for piano and strings including Schuberts’s Trio in B Flat, Joaquin Turina’s rhapsodic Piano Quartet in A Minor, Johannes Brahms’ entertaining and popular Hungarian Dances for Piano Four Hands, and Gabriel Faure’s magnificent Piano Quartet in C Minor. Robert Lawrence, co-director for programs, will introduce each piece to the audience with entertaining spoken program notes.

Performers will include violinist Bob Lawrence of NYC; cellist E. Zoe Hassman of NYC; pianists Jean Strickholm of Demarest and and Jacqueline Schiller-Audi of Paramus and guest artist violist Joel Rudin of Princeton.

The All Seasons Chamber Players has performed over 750 live concerts in the metropolitan area. In addition, thousands of people have heard the ensemble on local TV stations. Ensemble performers are professional musicians who also play with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals.

Winner of the Award for Artistic Excellence from the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs, the ensemble has also received grants from several corporate and private sources.

Admission to the concert, reception and art exhibit is free and all are welcome. The audience is invited to come as early as 2:00 p.m. to enjoy the art exhibit and reception before the 3:00 concert.
