Sands of Time presents ‘Chamber Music on the Loose’ on February 20

Teaneck, N.J. (February 3, 2016) — Sands of Time is hosting a concert, “Chamber Music on the Loose,” performed by “The Six” with Maestro Ron De Fesi, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016. This free event will take place in the Frank Giovatto Library auditorium at the Metropolitan Campus, as part of the Sands of Time event series. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

“The Six” is a traditional string quartet, with the addition of bass and piano. The group performs a variety of music ranging from Bach and Mozart to 20th century American folk, tango, and romantic opera. The ensemble will be led by Maestro Ron De Fesi, the artistic director and principal conductor of the Hudson Opera Theatre.

Co-conceived and led by Eli Amdur, BA ‘68 (Rutherford), adjunct professor, and Craig Mourton, assistant provost, Sands of Time is a social, intellectual and cultural experience beyond the classroom walls at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus.
