FDU signs agreement with RCGC to increase access and reduce tuition cost

Deptford, N.J. (January 6, 2015) — A new agreement between Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) and Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) will give RCGC graduates an opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree at FDU while receiving at least a 40–percent tuition reduction.

RCGC President Frederick Keating and FDU President Sheldon Drucker signed the RCGC–FDU Scholars Program agreement, which enables RCGC graduates to enroll in FDU bachelor’s degree programs on either the Florham Campus or the Metropolitan Campus and receive a scholarship to reduce the university’s tuition rate.

"For RCGC students who are interested in furthering their education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, the dual enrollment agreement offers a substantial tuition savings, which is so important today,” stated Keating. “RCGC has enjoyed a 15–year relationship with FDU, and the Scholars Program provides additional access to a private university education.”

“Affordability is so critical today, and now Rowan College at Gloucester County students will have more opportunities to achieve their academic goals,” Drucker said. “We look forward to graduating the next class of Rowan College at Gloucester County students.”
First-time college students admitted to FDU who elect to attend RCGC –— or current RCGC students with fewer than 30 credit hours — must sign a RCGC–FDU intent to enroll form. After earning an associate degree at RCGC, students are then eligible for the reduced tuition rate.

Additional tuition reductions are available for members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and students with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Students choosing to reside on FDU’s Metropolitan Campus or Florham Campus will receive an additional housing grant.
