AIG executive Ralph Mucerino joins Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Board of Trustees

Teaneck, N.J. (January 20, 2016) — Ralph Mucerino, President of Consumer Insurance-Americas at AIG (American International Group), has been elected to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Board of Trustees for a three-year term.

“We are very glad to welcome Ralph Mucerino to the Board of Trustees,” said Sheldon Drucker, president of FDU. “His wealth of international business experience will be a great asset to the board.”

Ralph executes the regional distribution strategy for all of AIG’s consumer personal insurance and group benefits products in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean and is responsible for all U.S. operations of the Consumer Property Casualty Private Client Group, Travel Guard, Service Net and Group Benefits. A 37-year veteran of the company, he has held a number of senior management positions in the United States and abroad, including in France as manager of European operations and in Japan as president of the Far East Region. Prior to his current role, Ralph served as senior vice president and chief distribution officer for AIG Property Casualty Commercial Insurance. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of Chartis International (an AIG Company) and Chairman  of Global Marine and Energy. He began his professional insurance career with The Travelers. Mucerino serves on the board of directors of the International Insurance Society.

He is a charter member of FDU’s Presidential Advisory Council. His daughter, Meghan Rose Mucerino, is a student at FDU’s Florham Campus, majoring in communications and public relations.

Ralph and his wife reside in Tinton Falls, NJ.
