Family business seminar on emotional intelligence and resolving conflict

MADISON, N.J. (October 23, 2014) — The O.Berk Company Family Business Forum’s fall seminar series will feature Ray Crew, Senior VP of Leadership Development, Applied Research Corporation, on Thursday, October 30 at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus. The forum will take place from 8:15-10:30 a.m. in the Rutherford Room, Ferguson Recreational Center. Crew will be presenting on the topic, “Emotional Intelligence and Resolving Conflict.”
Family businesses are powerful corporate citizens, and often have a multi-generational effect on the community. We've heard of IQ, but what about EQ? What is Emotional Quotient, better known as Emotional Intelligence? How can it guide your decisions in business, and help to interpret, assess and manage the emotions of yourself and others in the workplace? From the groundbreaking research of Peter Salovey, John Mayer, and other researchers and scientists, learn how small businesses, corporations and educational institutions worldwide are embracing the importance of investing in EQ in the workplace, and how it can benefit your firm today and for years to come.
This talk will be geared toward family businesses, and anyone with an interest in family business is encouraged to attend. Come meet fellow family firms, network, and learn about the inner workings of family enterprises.
Open to the public. Admission is free for first time guests, and registration is required by October 28. For more information or to register, call the Rothman Institute at (973) 443-8842 or visit for their full schedule of O.Berk Company Family Business Forum events.
