FDU Welcomes The All Seasons Chamber Players on Sunday, September 28, 2014

Teaneck, NJ (September 8, 2014) The All Seasons Chamber Players, one of New Jersey’s most popular and active chamber music ensembles, will perform a special concert of chamber music on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Hall (150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, NJ). The event is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Department and will also include a reception and art exhibit in the Edward Williams Gallery of works by Sigfrido Duarte entitled “Voices of America”

Admission to the concert, reception and art exhibit is free and all are welcome. The audience is invited to come as early as 2:00 p.m. to enjoy the art exhibit and reception before the 3:00 concert. There is ample free parking and reservations are not needed.

About the Program

The program, “Folk, Fame and Family” will feature chamber music for flute, violin, cello, piano and piano duet. The folk pieces on the program will include six pieces for flute and piano by Azerbaidzan composer Fikret Amirov, the famouse Slavonic Dances for Piano Duet, Op. 46 by Antonin Dvorak and a selection from Four Seasons of Bueno Aires by the Argentinian composer Asotor Piazzolla. In addition, the program will include the Piano Trio in G Major, K. 496 by the famous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the beautiful Elegy for Piano Trio by Joseph Suk, Dvorak’s son-in-law. Robert Lawrence, Co-Director for Programs, will introduce each piece.

Performers will include violinist Bob Lawrence of NYC; cellist E. Zoe Hassman of NYC; pianists Jean Strickhom of Deamares, Jacqueline Schiller-Audi of Paramus and guest artist flutist Lisa Hansen of Leonia.
