Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Camp Discovery
is a traditional camp experience with exciting opportunities for discovery and travel, serving the local communities for over 20 years. Hosted on both the Florham and Metropolitan Campuses, campers will make new friends, discover more about their world, and build self-confidence while caring counselors and certified teachers ensure each child feels safe to try new things and make new friends.
Join this year for a summer of friendship, exploration, and fun from June 29 – August 7, 2015 for children entering grades 1-7.
Daily activities include hands-on activities in sciences, chemistry, physics, biology and aerodynamics, arts and crafts, painting, tie-dying, and sculpting, sports, kickball, soccer and tennis baseball, theater and dance, world discovery, exploration and swimming.
Activities are developed by certified teachers and specialists; they change each session so campers can enjoy exciting new projects all summer long. The camp is run by weekly themes in which campers will have field trips.
Charter bus transportation for field trips is provided and coordinated by camp staff. There are a limited number of seats on the bus for parents who would like to chaperone trips. Registration to chaperone should be made early, as they are offered on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are purchased through Camp Discovery and payment is due at time of sign up.
