Teaneck, NJ (February 11, 2015) — The All Seasons Chamber Players, one of New Jersey’s most popular and active chamber music ensembles, will perform a special concert of chamber music at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Hall (150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, NJ). The event is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Department and will also include a reception and art exhibit in the Edward Williams Gallery of works by Michael McKeown entitled “Laundry,” Relief Sculpture.
Admission to the concert, reception and art exhibit is free and all are welcome. The audience is invited to come as early as 2:00 p.m. to enjoy the art exhibit and reception before the 3:00 concert. About the Program:
The program, Spring Mix, will feature E. Zoe Hassman performing a group of pieces ranging from classical to jazz and the dramatic Trio No. 2 by the renowned French composer Cecile Chaminade. It will also include a tuneful Trio in G by Friedrich Kuhlau and a short, lovely Nocturne for Flute, Ciolin, Cello and Piano by Albert Franz Doppler. Robert Lawrence, Co-Director for Programs, will introduce each piece to the audience with entertaining spoken program notes.
Performers will include violinist Bob Lawrence of NYC; cellist E. Zoe Hassman of NYC; pianists Jean Strickholm of Deamarest, Jacqueline Schiller-Audi of Paramus and guest artist flutist Lisa Hansen of Leonia.
The All Seasons Chamber Players has performed over 725 live concerts in the metropolitan area. In addition, thousands of people have heard the ensemble on local TV stations. Ensemble performers are professional musicians who also play with major area orchestras, Broadway show and summer music festivals.
Winner of the Award for Artistic Excellence from the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs, the ensemble has also received grants from severalcorporate and private sources.
The All Seasons Chamber Players is performing 23 concerts in the 2014-2015 season at Edward Williams Auditorium (Metropolitan Campus) The Central Unitarian Church of Paramus, the Oradell Reformed Church; Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ridgewood; the Art center of Northern New Jersey in New Milford; and the public libraries of New Milford, Upper Saddle River, Fort Lee, Ridgewood, Englewood, Teaneck , Mahwah, Fair Lawn and Ossining.
