Upsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha chartered at FDU
At the Florham Campus on Sunday, April 22, 2018, 12 young women were inducted into the chartering chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®-Upsilon Theta Chapter. The new chapter was sponsored by the Graduate Chapter of Morristown, New Jersey, the Pi Theta Omega Chapter. The North Atlantic Regional Director, Meredith L. Henderson, chartered the Upsilon Theta Chapter.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is an international service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-lettered organization established by African-American, college-educated women. Alpha Kappa Alpha is comprised of almost 300,000 members in over 1000 graduate and undergraduate chapters in the United States, Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Germany, South Korea, Bermuda, Japan, Canada, Dubai and the continent of South Africa.
