Metro Campus chef Blackwell cooks up a win
Mike Blackwell (above), Gourmet Dining’s executive chef at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus, placed first in the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Culinary Challenge for Colleges and Universities at the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) regional conference in Valley Forge, Pa. on March 4 and 5, 2017.
Blackwell beat out nine other qualifying chefs in the region from Rutgers University, Millersville University, Virginia Tech, University of Richmond, Pennsylvania State University, Gettysburg College, Messiah College, Monmouth University and Princeton University! Blackwell will now compete in the National Culinary Challenge held in Nashville, Tenn. in mid-July.
