At Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus, Veterans Day traditions continued, starting with the flagpole ceremony, and culminating in the annual march in America’s Parade, the Veterans Day parade in New York City. FDU students, alumni, staff and faculty veterans all walked in the parade.

New this year was a tribute from the Knights softball team, in which they honored local U.S. military veterans by planting small American flags on the softball field. The team collected donations at all prior home games to sponsor the flags, with the money going towards the Wounded Warrior Project. In all, the team put 475 flags in the field.
Enterprise Holdings, parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, presented FDU’s veterans program with a check for $4,000.
