On Thursday, October 14th, the Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship hosted a Morris Tech Meetup event in Orangerie and welcomed Tom Wisniewski (above) to campus for a presentation. Tom is a seasoned venture capitalist and is now running Newark Venture Partners as a socially responsible fund with and the state of NJ as co-investors.

Two start-up companies made pitches about their products to the audience prior to the speaking engagement. One of the startups, Integrate, is run by FDU alumni, Kevin Celisca and Walter Franks (above), and is an online platform used by high school teachers to distribute homework, collect assignments, and share classroom notes with students.

The Morris Tech Meetup group hosts monthly events for networking among local entrepreneurs, faculty, staff, and students.
