Florham students present at cell biology meeting
Patricia Melloy, associate professor of biological and allied health sciences, and two students, Trevor Van Eeuwen and James Luginsland, presented a scientific poster presentation at the American Society for Cell Biology/International Federation for Cell Biology meeting held in Philadelphia, PA in December 2014. They were selected through a competitive process and their appearance marked the first time that Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus were represented at the meeting.

The research project presented is a collaboration between the laboratories of Patricia Melloy and Gloria Anderle, associate professor of chemistry and pharmaceutical science. Trevor is a biochemistry major, and James is a chemistry graduate student. The title of their work is: Homology modeling and functional analysis of the mitotic checkpoint complex in budding yeast. The abstract of their presentation was peer-reviewed and competitively selected for the meeting. Trevor presented the scientific poster at a special undergraduate poster session on December 6, and all three presented at the regular poster session on December 8.
