The Michael D. Fink Endowed Scholarship was established by Robert and Lori Fink in 1988 in memory of their son. Michael was a doctoral clinical psychology student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus. While he was a student, Fink was undergoing treatment for a cancerous tumor in his spinal column. Subsequent surgery left him paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. Fink passed away in November 1987, just short of completing his dissertation. Fink was awarded his Ph.D. posthumously.
The Fink scholarship supports a doctoral candidate in the clinical psychology program who has an interest in working with physically disabled children.
