Okang McBride

Director of Special Gifts & Athletic Development

Okang joined the Office of University Advancement in 2007. As the Director of Special Gifts and Athletic Development, he is responsible for engaging, cultivating and soliciting annual support for Fairleigh Dickinson University. Okang’s work focuses on two primary areas: unrestricted giving and increasing support of our Division III Devils athletic program.

Okang began his career at FDU in 1996, and has held several positions at his alma mater. Prior to Advancement, he served as the Associate Director of Admissions at the Metropolitan Campus, and later advanced to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions where he lead a talented team of enrollment management professionals. In 2007, he was named Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Director of Alumni Relations.

Okang is a graduate of the FDU Florham Campus, earning a BA in Sociology. He served as a Senator-at-Large, as a member of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Professional Administrative Senate (PAS), and was on the executive board of the New Jersey Association of College Admissions Counselors (NJACAC).
