I arrived at WFDU on a cool January morning to visit with my friend and colleague Duff Sheffield. Let’s just say we go way back. I was so impressed with the operation that I wanted to become a part of it. So I became a volunteer. As a seasoned radio professional with 40 years experience in the New York City market I knew that I had something to offer.
When I was a student at C.W. Post College my love of music led me to radio station WCWP. I mastered my trade there and landed a job at WABC/WPLJ as an engineer. Like a ball player, I was traded to WOR radio where I meet up with Barry (Duff). That was in 1978. The rest of my background includes employment at RKO Radio Networks, United Stations, Radio Today Entertainment, ABC Radio Network, Cumulus Media and CBS Radio New York.
These days I can be found working as the Chief Engineer of WFDU on the beautiful Metro campus of Farleigh Dickenson University. I also teach Intro to Broadcasting as well as a Radio Production.
