Jung-ah Choi is an adjunct instructor at Petrocelli College of Fairleigh Dickinson University and also teaches at Walden University. Prior to Fairleigh Dickinson, she taught at Grand Valley State University (2003 – 2007), Loyola University Chicago (2007 – 2008) and Governors State University IL (2008 – 2010). She received her Ph.D and MA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also completed BA from Seoul National University, Korea.
She brings excellent interpersonal, institutional, social and epistemological critical theory perspectives to bear on educational/social equity issues. Her works appear in the British Journal of Sociology of Education, the Urban Review, the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, Educational Foundations, and Studying Teacher Education. Her present research focuses on Asian immigrants and their racial development in relation to the growth of co-ethnic communities.
