John E. Kaiser
Fairleigh Dickinson University, Master of Administrative Science Program
Mr. Kaiser is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Administrative Science in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies. Mr. Kaiser instructs curriculum in both the MAS and BAIS programs at FDU. MR. Kaiser has been an Adjunct Professor with FDU since May of 2013.
He is currently employed as a Police Lieutenant with the Middletown Township Police Department in Monmouth County, where he currently serves as the Bureau Commander for the Records and Service Bureau. Prior to being transferred to the Records and Service Bureau, Mr. Kaiser served as a Lieutenant/Watch Commander in the Patrol Bureau for 5 years. During his 19 years with the Middletown Police Department, he has served in a number of capacities and functions including, Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT/Tactical Operator, Police Instructor and Trainer, Patrol Sergeant, Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police, Homeland Security Liaison, Background and Hiring Coordinator, Police Auxiliary and Academy Liaison and Director as well as Patrol Shift Supervisor. In his current capacity Mr. Kaiser is responsible for all firearms applications, permits, and investigations, as well as those matters relating to ABC Licensing and Permits. Mr. Kaiser is also currently responsible for the agency’s budget, discovery and subpoena matters, OPRA matters, as well as Police Communications.
Mr. Kaiser completed his graduate studies at FDU in the MAS Program and holds a Master of Administrative Science as well as a Certificate in School Safety Administration. He completed his undergraduate studies at Eastern Kentucky University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Police Administration and Management with a minor emphasis in Corrections and Juvenile Services. While at Eastern Kentucky University he competed in Cross Country and Track and Field where he competed in long distance events and was an NCAA Division I letter winner. After graduating from Eastern he was employed by the Wilmore Police Department, in Jessamine County, Kentucky, before returning home and beginning his career with Middletown PD.
Mr. Kaiser currently resides in Middletown, with his two children. During his free time, he enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles, scuba diving, spending time at the beach and pool, and listening to Jimmy Buffett.
