Gwen Jones

Dr. Gwen E. Jones joined the College of Business Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Fall of 1997. Prior to coming to FDU, she was on the faculty at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. While there, Dr. Jones was very active in the Organizational Development Masters program at BGSU. She taught classes in consulting and change management, led change management efforts in several organizations, and shadow consulted graduate students involved in a wide variety of consulting activities. Dr. Jones has helped organizations through a variety of change initiatives, including large-scale culture change, top management team building, strategic planning, visioning, redesigning of appraisal systems, and analysis and redesign of organizational processes.

In addition to her interests in human resource management and change management, Dr. Jones is interested in ethical behavior in organizations. Her dissertation research focused on individual and situational predictors of why persons engage in unethical activity in the workplace. She teachs business ethics, organizational behavior, human resource management and change management.

Dr. Jones received her Ph. D. from the State University of New York at Albany in Organizational Studies with a specialization in human resource management and in organizational behavior. Dr. Jones’s research interests include evaluating the effectiveness of change management strategies, issues related to unethical behavior in organizations, fairness of personnel selection procedures, and the advancement of minorities in organizations. Her work has appeared in Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business and Psychology, Organizational Development Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, and Teaching Business Ethics, among others.
