Frederick A. Thompson
Deputy Chief Thompson has been with the South Brunswick Police Department for over 20 years.
During his law enforcement career, Deputy Chief Thompson was assigned to numerous projects including the assessment of the future of the NJ Training School for Juveniles a position he was appointed to by former Governor Christine Whitman. He was appointed by Assemblywoman Barbara Wright to assist in the Juvenile Justice Commission he was appointed by Congressman Mike Pappas to participate in the Congressional Sub Committee on Narcotics in Central NJ.
He served as an instructor with the U.S Department of Justice, in Guatanomo Bay, Cuba for the United Nation's efforts to develop a Haitian National Police Force. Deputy Chief Thompson received executive training from the FBI National Academy and West Point Military Academy - Command and Leadership School.
Deputy Chief Thompson earned his Criminal Justice Certification and BA in Psychology from Rutgers University and MS in Criminal Justice Administration from Jersey City State College. He is an Adjunct instructor in Fairleigh Dickinson University's Master of Administrative Science Program and the NJ Certified Public Managers Program.
