Interests, courses taught:
Dr. Swartz teaches courses in Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Strategic Innovation Management, and Management Strategy at the executive and graduate levels. At the undergraduate level, she teaches courses in business planning, e-commerce and most recently as part of the Women’s Minor at FDU’s College at Florham, a course entitled, “Women as Entrepreneurs”.

Credentials, capsule biography:
Dr. Swartz has taught at universities in South Africa and the UK. Prior to joining the Silberman College of Business, she served as a faculty member in the Department of Corporate Strategy at Leicester Business School, DeMontfort University, Leicester, UK. Whilst at Leicester Business School, Dr. Swartz taught strategic management and entrepreneurship; she was also instrumental in setting up a center for research into business continuity management. She is the co-author of “Business Continuity: A Crisis Management Approach”. Dr. Swartz is an active contributor to New Jersey’s entrepreneurial organizations through her collaborations with the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, and the Small Business Administration. She also collaborates with The Technology Management Education Association. She sits on the editorial board of Risk Management: An International Journal, and FDU’s Global Issues Gateway. Dr. Swartz serves as Vice President for the Minority and Women’s Division of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) and in this capacity serves on the board of USASBE. Her research and teaching interests include entrepreneurship and innovation, management of technology, business continuity and crisis management. Dr. Swartz’s corporate career includes experience with The Economist Group, General Motors (South African), and Kodak (South African).
